PUC Chairman Peter Lake and Commissioner Will McAdams along with Sens. Birdwell, Johnson & West, and Reps. Slawson, Sherman, Collier & Turner traveled to North Texas to see first hand the weatherization on different types of plants as well as how they are run.

Lunch and Learn 2021
On October 21, 2021 TCPA held a lunch and learn at the state Capitol to discuss what has been done since Winter Storm Uri and the activities generators have been undertaking to ensure reliability in ERCOT through the competitive market. It was well-attended by staff from House & Senate offices as well as the Speaker’s and Governor’s offices. Additional learning opportunities are planned for spring and summer 2022.
Lunch and Learn 2020
On February 12th, 2020, TCPA held a lunch and learn at the state capitol to provide an overview of the Texas electric market and design. It was a great event, and was well attended by over 30 staff from leadership and legislative offices.
