TCPA regularly meets with commissioners, staff, and the executive director at the PUCT. The association participates actively in projects and rulemakings impacting the competitive electric industry, advocating for positions that foster competition and maintain the health of the Texas electric marketplace. TCPA members are often intervenors in contested case dockets before the PUCT that impact the regulated rates paid by Texas consumers. In addition to meeting with commissioners and staff, TCPA files comments and replies in projects and rulemakings, participates in workshops, and presents oral comments before the PUCT.
